Surprised there were never any Ironside 'movies'

I'm watching one of the 2 hour 1987 "Perry Mason Movies" on MeTV, I wonder if there was any thought of doing similar type movies with Ironside 15 years post the original series.

Hmmm, Thanks for the info, i'll have to check it out, guess it didn't catch on for further movies like the Mason movies

There may have been more movies after Return of Ironside, but Raymond Burr was suffering what would become terminal cancer during the filming. He died in September, 1993, a few weeks after the airing of the last Perry Mason movie.

Actually he died before the airing of the last Perry Mason movie. There is a memorial tribute at the end of "The Case of the Killer Kiss."
