What's New with Mark episode

I watched the episode "What's New with Mark" today, and had mixed emotions about the plot. Remembering the conversations between Mark and the Chief, I was hoping that they would have that kind of conversation about the time they spent together over 7 years and, Mark would finally be able to express his gratitude to the Chief. There was not that conversation, but at least there was a scene with just the two of them discussing Mark's case. It was good to have both of them together for the last time in the apartment/office, and I will miss those moments. Concern for the Chief's welfare was shown by Ed and Fran, but I won't reveal the ending for those who have not seen it. What did you think about this episode?
