First release date is 20, May, 2010.

I am going to buy this today. Even Reg 2 that great. But it must come to you in the US as Reg 1 as well!
Referring to The High Chaparral newsletter, season 2 is scheduled for release also in Germany in December 2010. Completely impossible to understand that a business minded country like the US are still sleeping.
Kinowelt have now also officially announced the release for December 9, 2010. Season 3 and 4 most likely during 2011.
Quality of picture as well as sound is superb. Only one negative thing, about 3 minutes of episode 1 on English track is dubbed German. Referring to Kinowelt because they have lost the English on their copies for the beginning.
I got mine from Amazon and when we watched it,it was in German.How do you get to the Eglish track.I am confused
