Hello,
Has anybody ever seen this TV program on video or on DVD? This has been my all time favorite western television show and I cannot find copies of it anywhere on videocassette or DVD. I love this television program. If you have ever seen it in video format or DVD please let me know. Thank you.

Well if you find a DVD with The High Chaparral please let me know, my parents named me after Manolito Montoya, I've seen some episodes (reruns) when I was older, but I've never found a video or DVD...

I am a strong advocate of the DVD release but we are an ad hoc lobby and I'm only one voice among many. My name gets on a lot of stuff because I have organized the Reunions.
I encourage everyone to visit www.thehighchaparral.com to sign the petition for DVDs and check out photos of the Reunion with all the wonderful guests, cast and crew, who joined us for brunch.
One day NBC, the rights holder, will realize they are sitting on a goldmine even if they don't think about any of the other reasons this should be preserved.

sharei have 21 shows on dvd uncut but i cant find the others.i have found people that have them but they wont trade or sell them but im working on such deals.it just takes time.ive recently acquired alias smith and jones,rawhide,gunsmoke,wanted dead or alive also full shows uncut.

i will like the high chaparral on dvd too. It,s the best tv movie there is.I,am an mark slade fan and I love it to see him in the high chaparral. It was sad that he,s leaving the high chaparral. The fourth season I,am not look anymore.

You can get every episode uncut from sites like tv addicts. Judging from the editing quality of some of the dvds officially released recently of old shows from this period, I would go with these uncut copies.

Discs won't play (if you receive them at all). Check out Complaints board & other sites for more info.
Also they are taped from TV Land & similar stations. They will be heavily cut despite their claims to the contary.
The first season has been released in Germany and is available at amazon germany, if you have a multi region DVD player you should be able to watch them. Season two is expected to be released soon. These are legal copies, no bootleg.

I'm in the UK and have a multi-region DVD player so I can play Region 1 DVDs - I assume it's possible to do the opposite in the US.

In May 2012 season 1 will appear in The Netherlands.
All episodes are uncut and with English subtitles.
Several sellers on eBay are selling the complete Series (uncut and without commercials) on DVD in English. These are recordings from Collector's and do not have fancy Cases or Artwork that would be found on commercially made sets. There is quite a variance in Prices. My set cost $59.95 and the Video/Audio Quality is excellent for a 40 Year old Series and one that was not produced by Professionals.
