Was Harold Ruskin in his mid 20s?

That would explain why he was an underachieving high school student.

if you are talking about the episode "the joy riders" Harold Rustin played by Micheal Burns was 22 years of age at the time this episode aired in Feb. 69

reply

Why do you ask?

reply

It's the first thing a new viewer would want to know.

reply

Well did he look young to you or did he look 40 something like Webb was at the time the 60's Dragnet was?

Plus they have all that info listed on the IMDB boards.

reply

There must have been a real Harold Ruskin. That name was used in an episode of Adam-12.

reply

I laughed when Peggy Webber who played his Mom was over dramatic and dropped her grocery bags.

There was a real Harold Ruskin. His real sister was on television in the early 1990s talking about the anxiety the family went through when her brother was portrayed on Adam 12 and Dragnet. She was some talk show talking about a family member who had committed a serious crime, and the effects of living day to day in spite of the felony, and the pain it caused the other existing family members. I still have the video on a VHS tape that I recorded because a family of a college friend of mine was also on the show for the same reason, and that is why I recorded it.

Because Ruskin was a convicted felon in real life, the family could nothing about his crime being on television. I am not sure it happened exactly the way Dragnet portrayed Ruskin killing the kid, but it must have been fairly close.

Wow! Webb was only 47 in 1967 when Dragnet aired, he looks easily 57! Don't tell me it's because he smoked, that's BS.
Sorry about your luck Jack.

reply

No bill he looks his age.

reply

Jack was a cronic alcohol and tobacco abuser. That DOES age you prematurly. It's far from "bull" son.
