Same apartment, same actor, different episode

I've been having a Dragnet-fest lately, watching multiple episodes in a row, after not watching the show for a very long time. So yesterday I watched an episode with a college kid who killed two people at a company, and [I THINK it was] in the same episode, a 'fat' frumpy woman who'd dumped her newborn baby in a trash can. Today I watched an episode with a 'fat' frumpy woman a conniving scumbag was engaged to, and where do you suppose she lived? In the SAME apartment as the college kid! (But the pay phone was missing from the hallway right outside its door. ) And who did she look exactly like? That's right, the 'fat' frumpy woman who dumped her baby in the trash! 

The college kid who killed the two people and the baby in the trash can are two different episodes. You are right about the same apartment though. They often reused the same sets for different episodes. Not only that but they reused the same actors as well. Fat Donna and Dumpy Doris were portrayed by the same actress.

No, but it's funny that one actress gets to be forever known as "Fat Donna" and "Dumpy Doris".
