First off, everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's why we're out here. Secondly, have some respect.

I didn't call her an old biddy, but I, too, used to wonder why Miss Gregg was on so often: 13 times on Dragnet, 6 on Adam-12 and 8 on Emergency!, per IMDb. She still irritates me, but now I understand the concept of having a regular cadre of actors for all situations, and can appreciate the skills the lady had.

i posted this tongue in cheek, most people got that, but she is old, she is gap toothed and the term biddy is generally defined as a old lady. so..... truth be told.

I've listened to Philip Marlowe radio shows from the late '40s/early '50s, and her name showed up in the credits for several of them. Dragnet started out on the radio too, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear that she worked in some of them as well.

Mrs. Bates from Pyscho!!!

He used her a lot for the very reason she was obnoxious and unlikable. Like a nasty school teacher. She mostly played unsavory and uncooperative characters. Like the pyramid scheme woman, the hostile magazine writer and the lonely hearts club owner. And she was indeed the voice of Norma Bates in Psycho through Psycho 3. Again, not a nice person.

...and the widow of Miller Starkie, the gangster murdered by his cohorts at the start of the 1954 movie. When Friday and Smith find her she is lying on her couch, half drunk. Worse still, she has only one leg.
