Robert Brubaker

Robert Brubaker appeared in numerous Dragnet episodes. He was in the second episode today, playing a retired jewelry store owner who could do complicated math problems in his head. When Joe and Bill told him a man had been in prison for 14 years, he immediately told them exactly how many months, weeks, days, minutes and seconds that was.

The year before Robert started appearing on Dragnet, he was in the 1967 color Audie Murphy cavalry western movie, 40 Guns to Apache Pass. In that one, he played a rough, tough, cavalry sergeant. Certainly a different role from what he always played on Dragnet. If you ever see him in that movie after watching him in Dragnet, you won't believe it's the same actor.
