"Joe" Friday

Has anyone ever seen an episode where Friday is referred to by the formal name "Joseph"? I noticed that even in the show where he is called before an internal review committee, he is referred to as Joe in the formal charges.

I can't remember anyone calling him "Joseph" in the '67-'70 show, but I've been listening to the Dragnet radio shows lately ('49-'55), and his mother was in several episodes and always called him "Joseph".

Ok, thanks. I figured it might be something like that. I think Peggy Webber played "Ma" Friday.

It's funny listening to her voice in the radio shows; it's stated in one of them that Joe is 30 years old, so you figure that his mother would be in the 55-60 year old range, but to hear her talk, you'd swear that she's supposed to be 80.
