In college I had NO clue what I was doing, only Art class spurred me to visit museums. I needed someone to light the fire under me, to set me on my course of life or whatever!! I had to take a class on English literature & our thesis was left to us to pick. Now you need to know that my younger brother( this is the truth as of 2016) is the largest collector of Liz memorabilia in the entire world ! This started a long time back and he must have showed me Liz doing Virginia that spurred me to do Edward Albee plays. That turned out to be one of the greatest choices because I've seen every one on Broadway . I loved " The Goat" With a thesis you have to delve into each character, it's almost like you're in the play itself but you learn so much. I fell head over heals for Albee and Virginia .. Then to see it brought to life was amazing to me. Know that this is definitely NOT a movie for everyone ! It demands your attention.. But all four characters are super excellent ! Sandy Dennis is so amazing to play next to Liz & never forget the genius of Mike Nichols to film in B&W/ Liz would have never looked rabid / old/ drunk in color.. It also took allot of courage from the actors to listen to the director.. He wants to do B&W with Elizabeth Taylor?? We won't see those violet eyes .. Well we saw them on Oscar night.. It's a brilliant script/ movie/ acting & lighting / cinematography .. Nothing EVER happens without the right SCRIPT/ writing
