I have to be wide awake to watch it...
I have seen 4 of Bergman's films and loved each one immensely (The Magician, Summer Interlude, Summer with Monika, Wild Strawberries). 'Persona' was going to be the 5th, but I fell asleep about 30 minutes into it. It may have had to do with the fact that I was bit drowsy before it began though. I'll give it a shot a few weeks later in a more awakened state, because the pace was quite plodding. The shot of Elisabet Vogler lying on her side in bed while listening to classical music was beautiful but made my eyelids heavy.
