Charlie Brown and cancer

Hey, I'm looking for an episode or perhaps even movie where Charlie Brown meets a girl who has cancer. I remember it made an impact on me when I saw it but I have no idea what the title was, or even if it was an episode in a series or a movie.
Anyone knows what I'm talking about? I would very much like to see it again.

Nevermind, I found it. The show is called Why, Charlie Brown, Why? And it's apparently Linus who befriends this girl with cancer. I can't find it on DVD, but there is a little book with the same title and story.
I ordered the book to see if the story is as good as I remember it.

No, it isn't. Peanuts specials are always somber and depressing, they're not supposed to be trivial, mindless, superficial childrens' entertainment, they are meant for adults who understand things like cultural subtext and metaphors.

Also, who cares about cancer, there are worse problems in the world. I'd rather have cancer than depression any day.

From what I've seen so far, I like how it's not as "slick" as some of the other modern Peanuts specials have been, especially the voicework (this was made in 1990). It has more of an old-fashioned feel to it.

I don't remember being too shaken up by this, or the equally depressing Snoopy Come Home, when I first saw them as a kid, but I'm sure when I see these now I'll probably start bawling.

Oh yeah, I was reminded of how amused I was when I first heard Linus and Janice talking about the swing-set, and Linus innocently says "It's fun pushing you!" Obviously it wasn't supposed to be ironic or anything, but it's still amusing.
