Holidaqy Tradition
I am a senior citizen yet I make it a point of watching this Halloween special every year. Although considered corny by today's youngsters, to me it represents Halloween from a child's perspective. It's not about sadistic crimes and gore but the excitement of seeing whose costume is best, which jack-o-lantern is best and who gets the best treats. That's what Halloween was all about when I was a kid. It includes the "loser" who wastes his night waiting for the Great Pumpkin as well as the kid who gets only "rocks". In our hearts, we all look forward to seeing a Great Pumpkin and the disappointment as well.
