I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it listed on Directv pay-per-view !!! I hope that it comes on ABC, it would be terrible if you had pay for a children's classic that it was free to watch for 46 years.
shareI've see that on Directv a few times with other specials also. directv puts it on Pay per view early so people who don't want to wait for the airing will pay for it but ABC aired it a few days before halloween. I believe they did it with all the Peanuts specials (Christmas , Thanksgiving, Valentines day, Easter.)

I totally agree! I was thinking that, most kids (except the young ones) would be out trick r treating at that time. You are right, I belive last year it was on the tuesday or thursday before Halloween. that is perfect.

I can't believe that it's going to air on Halloween night. I do agree that it should air before Oct. 31st, seriously, people are going to be busy that night! What's the network thinking?

shareI own all the specials on DVD and yes, during the Halloween season I will watch ITGPCB almost once a day. However, that first airing on tv is always special with any of the Peanuts collection.
Regarding the question of has it ever been shown on Halloween. I believe it has. I remember back in 95-96ish, it was Halloween and it airing on tv that night. Now, I don't know if that was the only showing that year or it aired previously during that season.
