And because of this we got the Halloween Tree?

I read that Ray Bradbury and his daughters watched this when it premiered in 1966, and the whole time they were expecting to see the Great Pumpkin, but it never did, and one of his daughters was so upset after it was over, she kicked the TV set. After that, Ray Bradbury decided to do a Halloween story that really gave you something, to which we got the Halloween Tree which for over 30 years has been a great book, and for 14 years or so has been a great cartoon, but both are seldom acknowledged these days.

I don't understand if they show The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown every single year, WHY don't they show The Halloween Tree every year as well?
