When will it air this year?
Does anyone know? Hope they won't put it on Hallowe'en like they did last year.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown will make its annual visit to television screens on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 8-9 PM (Eastern/Pacific) on ABC. Happily, unlike last year, ABC is giving the classic Peanuts special an hour-long time slot, so it should air unedited together with a shortened version of You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown. share100% agree. DVR is great but there is something about watching it when it airs...commercials and all... like we had to when we were kids. I have all of the hliday specials on DVD but I still have to watch them when they are on TV. I believe they aired it on Halloween last year also. Just not the same.
shareLove watching it on TV too! But when they start editing parts out from the show, it gets me mad. You are right about it's just not the same as when we saw it as a kid. I long for the good old days again. Except for a few exceptions.

Thanks for the update - good news. They cut out the four World War I songs and some other parts; it'll be great to see the show as it originally aired.
Like some others on here, I watch these shows when aired. I like it that way.
