Can you believe it's been 48 years?
It is now the same amount of time between the premiere and 2014, and the premiere and the real Red Baron being shot down in 1918.
This will be my 34th year watching it. I sat with my dad when I was only 5 months old and "watched" it and I did the same when my daughter was born last year when she was 4 months old. Hopefully she'll grow up loving it and the Christmas special as much as I do.
