we are putting together a great pumpkin festival and would like to know if anyone out there has any ideas on anything to do. we are having a costume contest and a pumpkin decorating test. anything else? we are also donating all our procedes to the all childrens network. its going to be a great pumpkin charity, anyone with ideas let us know.

A lot really depends on what type of budget you have and how much room for your festival. If you have money for a pumpkin costume and a Polaroid camera, you can have a "get your picture with the Great Pumpkin" booth. Also who is your target audience? Is it mostly for kids, adults, families with kids?
There are hayrides, a kid friendly (and scared adults) haunted pumpkin patch. A bake sale of all items either baked with pumpkin, or shaped like pumpkins.

This is a great idea right before Halloween, and the two responses were very good. Also, you could bring some DVD players and play the Halloween movies and some other very scary movies (charge admission to go in ans see them rotating). And if you have the resources have a haunted house, and maybe a haunted woods.
