Why does Sally (don't read if you haven't watched)

At almost the very end of this special Sally gets mad at Linus for missing Halloween and getting to going trick or treating for the first time, but really shouldn't she have gotten mad at herself. Linus didn't make her come running back to him, she saw him looking at her, and she made the decision to come running back to Linus. So more really it is her fault that she really got to miss out on the halloween actives like treat or treating it is not mentioned in the special if she was invited to the same Halloween party that the other kids were going to, that Lucy thought that Charlie Brown had been put on the wrong list, the list to invite. But getting back to Sally it was her decision to run back to Linus that was waiting for the great pumpkin. So really if there was anybody that she should have blamed was herself.

Maybe Sally was one of those people who thought everything bad that happened to her was someone else's fault? Just a guess, based on reading the Peanuts comic online....

Sally, if you think about it, was then and would likely be even 50 years later, is a typical child of 5 or 6. She understands what she’s told at least on some level while at the same time being gnawed at by a haunting fear that even though she’s doing the right thing, she’ll miss out on something else even more mystical and strange to her. So she went for the pumpkin patch and her true-believer Sweet Baboo Linus, who can’t help but be mystical and strange sometimes himself, Great Pumpkin or not.

Bottom line though is this: If Linus hadn’t told Sally the cock and bull story, she’d have no reason to run to him and miss out on the goodies. There are, of course, other rewards, but it’ll be a while before Sally figures that out – or at least we can hope it’s a while! 

Well she's like 5 years old so what 5 year thinks logically?

reply

She's immature and diverting responsibility away from herself.

reply

Because she's dumb, and probably voting for Trump.

reply

While Lucy is a narcissistic bitch, so she is voting for Hillary Clinton.

reply

She's just a kid. Not a fully rational thinking adult.

Seize the moment, 'cause tomorrow you might be dead.

It's female emotions vs. human logic.

Sometimes females can use human logic a little bit, but they live in the MOMENT, so nothing logical will matter when they are driven by their emotions; they will rationalize it ANY which way (if at all), but they can and WILL change their minds completely and then expect you to humour them, and they will always blame men - especially for the women's own emotions!

This is 100% realistic, Schultz really knew the female psyche well.

Yes, I am writing it with a 'T', because it was always like that for me, and I am not changing it. And no, Mandela Effect is not some memory problem, it's something bigger and scarier, but I understand if it's more comforting to believe it is (and I can't really blame anyone that's not a victim of it for thinking it is a memory thing, I would too).
