Who gets it? I find it strange that they went to the trouble to show simon and leland discussing the money and that simon would say that he would be contacting him in the future, then there is mention to papa that there was money, but is he splitting the money? Is he actually going to get the money. Why did he return the ring leland gave to Hepburn? Wouldn't that indicate that he had a relationship with her? wouldn't that implicate her? I just think the writing is a little strange regarding these things.

The amount of money was 0-0-0-0 .. he will never contact Leland, no money will ever change hands, and the ring was to tell Leland that he had indeed run off with his fiancee.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up...i was thinking that he was telling her father the number of zeros behind the figure. that makes more sense.
