Ah the beautiful simplicity

With all these caper movies with convoluted plans involving dangling from the ceiling, and dimantling alarms How to Steal a Million is just so gorgeously simple, and yet plausible. My favorite movie.

Indeed! And not only is the plan lovely simple, so are security measures (never mind what Grammont says): just an infrared eye connected to a (loud) bell. No automatically shutting steel doors..

Rome. By all means, Rome.

A great choice for favorite movie. I had never seen it before this week - can't believe I let it slip through the cracks all these years. Long gone are the luminaries like O'Toole and Hepburn. Long gone are the days when great films were made.
