Audrey Hepburn's little red car

Can anyone identify the make & model of that exceedingly cool red car that Audrey Hepburn drives in this?

Also: has anyone admitted that the Nicole/Papa exchange in the British Renault Clio ads was based on this movie? And was Peter O'Toole doing an impression of Cary Grant in Charade?

It's a Autobianchi Bianchina Special Cabriolet, basically a Fiat 'Sport' 500.

Thank you!

Certainly not.

We now return to the communists...

reply

Eli Wallach on the commentary said it was a Jaguar, but what does he know.

reply

O'Toole's car was a Jaguar XKE, perhaps that's what he was thinking of.

"You ever get the feeling there's something going on we don't know about?"

reply

The Fiat's a lot cooler than the Jag.

reply

he's referring to O'Toole's yellow Jaguar, not to Hepburn's little red sportster.

reply

I would say that Mr. Wallach knows quite a bit more than you do.
