Remake?

It's strange that no one plans on a remake. When you think about great modern versions of films like The Thomas Crown Affair and Oceans Eleven I think this could be done equaly amazing! Jude Law as a modern day Simon Dermont perhaps?

It will happen of course..
The only AH remake I can't see happening is Funny Face for some reason.
Her other pictures have been remade or will be remaked.. Nothing to worry about though.
Let's wait and see who tries to fill her shoes next.
XX starring in "Truman Capote's: Breakfast at Tiffany's"
Can't wait..

NO!!!

This obsession of people with wanting to see remakes of classics that already are wonderful and unique films by themselves, is really infuriating! The film industry has lost all capacity for originality or what? One out of every three movies they make nowadays already is a remake of something! What will the next one be? ET? Schindler's List? Lord of the Rings?

Its normal to say not to remakes since in most cases they fail missreabaly but if there is a type of films hollywood remakes surprisingly well are heist movies.

Like the OP said The Thomas Crown affair, Oceans 11 and The Italian Job have been highly succesful remakes.

In the particular case of The Thomas Crown affair ive seen both version and i do perfer the Remake, Pierce and Rene were pure magic together and the hiest reallu keeps you interested, they really managed to make anotger gem of the remake.

And sorry McQueen fans but Pierce was a better Thomas Crown.

So inthink they could get this one and to catch a theif right, hollywood usually sucks ta remakes but heist remakes they get them right and become better known than the original
