I just what to asked if is it true or just a rumor that Peter and Audrey had a fling during the movie? I had read this a couple of times, but I think is not true. They did had great chemestry on this movie on and off though and if it was true I would not be surprise, O'toole was very well known to fool around while he was married and Audrey was at the end of her marriage to Mel Ferrer.

I absolutely love this movie, too bad it was a flop in 1966 and critics didn't like it either, what were they thinking?

From what I've gathered, this rumor was mostly part of that celebrity gossip that everybody knows too well. The real fling (for lack of better term) was with Albert Finney while filming Two for the Road, although the deepest anybody has gone on this matter is Albert Finney quoted as saying, "You sometimes get to the edge where make-believe and reality are blurred."

She was only known to have had two affairs with co-stars, one with William Holden and one with Albert Finney. She became good friends with Gregory Peck, as well as friends with Gary Cooper.

She also had a fling with Ben Gazzara on "Bloodline", though it fizzled when he discarded Audrey (!!) for another woman. This made their reunion on "They All Laughed" the following year to be a difficult experience.

I read in a memoir book about O'Toole that he was definitely taken with her while filming and that he struggled to not get carried away in the closet sequences... but I've never heard anything that suggests it went further than that.

On numerous occasions during the closet scene, she allowed her breasts to rub his back. Suggesting that she was more than kindley deposed to him.

Funny I thought they had terrible chemistry. O'Toole had better chemistry with Burton in Beckett
