This is just about the perfect film

Hepburn and O'Toole at theirs peaks. Fine performances by the supporting cast. Gorgeous sets and glimpses of Paris. Even down to those two amazing cars.
Can think of few more satisfying films of this genre, especially from that period.

Nice film. Big Hepburn fan. Somehow missed this one. Hepburn and O'Toole had good chemistry.

I absolutely LOVE this film. Audrey and Peter have PERFECT chemistry in this production. They're both totally adorable, 'nicely' sexy, clever and funny throughout. It doesn't get a lot of attention these days but, hopefully, it is being rediscovered somewhat. It's been on TCM, Retro and HBO a few times over the past couple years. Their scenes in the maintenance closet at the museum are a riot and the whole theft scheme is wonderfully clever.

I also think the musical score was perfect -- light and fun, with a bit of suspenseful parts
perfectly combined.

For me, this is a quintessential 1960's romantic comedy in every respect -- replete with a great cast to fill out every part! 'Papa' was the perfect scoundrel character actor as was Eli Wallach as the filthy-rich American art collector . . . Beautiful sets and Paris scenes!!
