I initially remember her from the 1970's--she was all over the place guest-starring in stuff--and I thought she was quite attractive, but here in Grand Prix--wow!! She's absolutley gorgeous!! I'd rate her as one of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen!!
for sure, she epitomised that european look of the day back in 1966 with the sunglasses in the hair at night, even though she was American. This movie made a huge impression when I 1st watched it in the early 70's & I do watch it every 12-18 months as even though most folk on here didn't like the story line & skipped to the racing, I love the whole thing, the race scenes were mostly action from the actual races & apparently James Garner couldn't drive much, Brian Bedford didn't drive at all during the making of it.
I doubt very much that it could be made today as the cost of using the F1 name, race teams would prohibit it & the insurance for the stars would be another hurdle.
The Director said that Ferrari didn't want anything to do with the movie but John Frankenheimer took a projector & some of the early film down to Modena to Ferrari's HQ & showed them to the head of racing & afterwards he loved what he had seen so much he offered JF the run of the factory & 2 of the race cars to use plus the Ferrari name.
Catch her in this Big Bang Theory episode: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1632230/combined She plays an elderly, HOT, philanthropist, that the CalTech Physics Dept. is trying to get funding from. She makes it clear that she wants a 'performance' from Leonard in return.
It is THE Jessica Walter of Play Misty for Me fame in what was really her only other significant big screen role. Pity she virtually has little screen time in the last half of the film, but I thought she is very good as Pat and really does look the part.🐭
She's hot but she was a two-timer and self serving. Wanted to leave her husband cause he "cant quit racing" only to want to jump in bed with another racer. She just wants to be with whoever is the most alpha male in the room and when her current husband was no longer "it" she went to the next. I don't like her at all. Very pretty though.
F1 drivers hop from team to team showing no loyalty...they strive to be in the best car at the moment. I take her actions as an allusion to F1 drivers wanting the same.
