FAN THEORY: The Man With No Name Is...

...totally Will from Unforgiven!
1) They're both trained in the art of assassinating for money
2) The Dollars Trilogy takes place in the 1860s, while the prologue to Unforgiven is set in 1878. Timeline wise, it matches up perfectly with Clint Eastwood's age at both points
3) Very little is ever really known about the Man With No Name, other than "he wasn't there for someone when they needed it" once. Is that a start to him realizing killing without a second glance is wrong?
4) The Man With No Name is Right handed with a gun, but is left handed at everything else. So is Will from Unforgiven
5) Both Will and The Man With No Name have one side of their mouth open when not talking
6) In fact, both rarely talk
7) They both prefer to use a hand-gun, as opposed to a full sized rifle
8) They both can kill multiple men single-handed

What do you guys think? Am I crazy? Am I right? Am I having a mid-life crisis?

I have to disagree. I can't picture TMWNN killing woman and children. Hell he let Tuco live and gave him half the money which I doubt Will Munny would have done. In Unforgiven Munny is softened with age but everything points to him being a complete "villain" when younger, more in line with Angel Eyes or Frank from Once Upon a Time.

Well, he's not Will but his name is Joe "Blondie" Manco and he is the same character in all three films.
They even sing "Go, go, go Manco!" during the "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" Intro.

That lyric is actually, "Don't talk to Gringo".

"It ain't dying I'm talking about, it's LIVING!"

I agree, I have always thought of his character in Unforgiven as an older retired version of his character from his old westerns.
