The only one who doesn't live up to their title is Blondie, Tuco is most definitely the Ugly because he reacts to every situation with an unattractive anger that makes him an "ugly" person. Angel Eyes is definitely "bad" because he stops at nothing to get the gold, torturing confederates just to find Carson, and double crossing everyone he meets to find the cemetery. Blondie is probably morally the best of the three, but he is entirely out for himself for the whole movie, sticking Tuco in the desert to die, and doing very immoral things in general. I think the reason he is called the good is because he redeems himself by the end of the film, giving a dying soldier a blanket and a cigar, and sparing Tuco, I don't think our perspective has changed over time, but that the three were always meant to represent people that weren't 100% good or bad, but people with moral ambiguity
