On TCM this Saturday at 12:00 a.m. EST

This film is coming on TCM on that day. Also, a question: Is this the first time TCM has ever shown a movie with Jane Birkin in it? This was two years before she became a British actress based in France.

Imagine if eventually, TCM, adds Don Juan, or If Don Juan Were a Woman and I Love You, I Don't to the rotation.

I don't recall seeing Birkin in anything but this on TCM.

TCM showed the film with a nun giving the introduction. She spoke of how Blowup was condemned by the Catholic Chutch, for full frontal I guess. Hard to believe now.

exactly, nowadays the Catholic Church wouldn't say anything about a movie's nudity and if they did then they would have to complain about every movie made nowadays, lol. nowadays the biggest complainers about movies are parent's groups. and she said some group complained after reflections in a golden eye came out. which is weird considering it was made a year after this movie. and also it wasn't that sexual or bad as far as sexually, it just had a few glimpses of nudity.

and then, the grand daddy of them all came out a year after this movie, Barbarella! it might be the first Hollywood movie to have boobs in it. I still have to find out what the first Hollywood movie to have boobs in it is, do you know? from all that I've watched Barbarella is the first Hollywood movie to have boobs in it, but maybe there is one made before it that I dont' know about. from watching all these condemned movies Thursdays this month on TCM I keep wondering what Hollywood movie was the first? it's so weird to think about how long it took for them to show boobs in a Hollywood movie. I thought my gosh, it's so wrong how all the people who watched all those Bela Lugosi Dracula movies didn't ever get to see one of his women victims boobs.

reply

Just to be clear, are you talking about boobs?
