In this film David Hemmings looked like
the young James Spader. I could imagine the latter reviving this role in his cinematic heyday.

I found Hemmings incredibly creepy and unattractive in this film.
And Vanessa Redgrave was never lovelier.
I was thinking he looks like Alex Winter, in his eyes anyway.
shareHad to look up Alex Winter. There is a passing resemblance but I think James Spader (when young) was a better match :)
In the midst of winter I found there was, within me, an invincible summershare
maybe you're right but I never thought of James spader when watching David Hemmings in this film.
shareWhy waste time matching him with anyone?

I always thought he looked like James Spader but had the mannerisms of Richard Burton.

I always thought he looked like James Spader but had the mannerisms of Richard Burton.Interesting observation. I'd have to watch again to judge re-Burton mannerisms.
I'm scared of the middle place between light and nowhereshare
To me, David Hemmings in Blow-Up looked like........David Hemmings. In fact, he always looked like David Hemmings. Perhaps it was because he was David Hemmings.
Why are IMDB users compelled to post non-sensical "looks like" threads?
