What was Underdog's real name? (not Wally Cox)

Hi, I was thinking about Underdog recently and I can't remember his name on the show. If you could help me I would be very thankful. Thanx.

I believe the full name was 'Shoeshine Boy.'

Stay with me on this one... His real name was Underdog.

At the beginning of the show after being called "humble, lovable, Shoeshine Boy." He says, "bless you sir," and bites down on the nickel...

"Little did anyone know that whenever there was a call for help..."
"HELP! HELP!! HELP!!!"
"Shoeshine Boy became in REAL LIFE, Underdog."

His alias: Humble, Lovable, Shoeshine Boy
His Real Name: Underdog

The line was, "Thanks, Shoeshine Boy. You're humble and lovable." To which he replied, "Bless you, sir." and then bit the coin.
