shareI think as far as the Salem Witch Trial era characters go I think that the actors were just allowed to free style it. The show was cancelled and Freiberger and others only cared about finishing the season on time and under budget. I actually liked the court official played by Johnny Haymer who also appeared on MASH. Took me years to make the connection which is a compliment to Haymer as he had some depth as an actor.
