The Legend

Pretty good episode I thought. Nothing spectacular to comment on, but what really stood out for me was the scene when Rollin walked in the room posing as the commandant. The look on that guy's face when Rollin walked in the room in full uniform and a cane was hilarious! When he tried to expose Rollin it only got worse. Then when Rollin ripped up all the plans and threw it at the guy and said he was now taking over and they all cheered LOL. I don't think I"ve ever laughed so hard during a mission episode if at all, but that got me good. Even though the details of the episode were a little fuzzy for me, it was that scene that I always remembered. Cinnamon was awesome in this episode also. She set that guy up perfectly.

The Bain/Landau team was brilliant once again! The way Cinnamon sucked up to Rudd was carefully crafted subterfuge. Rudd let his male ego get in the way. Gunnar Helstrom as Rudd was no slouch either. As the camera zoomed in on his face when Landau entered the room as the commandant, I got the impression that even Rudd himself doubted his own sanity! Along with the "paper-shredding" scene all these bits and pieces together add up to a memorable episode.

That's right, Rudd. I forgot his name. That actor was golden in that role with his facial expressions and at the end where he just kept screaming "Let me be your Fuhrer!" Cinnamon played it perfectly. Especially when she had that big gleam in her eye when she talked about the 4th reich.

I also liked the scene where Cinnamon is outside, looking for Rollin, and he sneaks up on her, clamping a hand over her mouth. She then gives him a "Thank God it's you." look and he smiles.

It's a funny moment, fairly typical for season one but we would not see that sort of thing later. Too bad. The one thing lacking in later seasons of MISSION were those warm moments between team members.

It's really good episode.

You're absolutely right. The look on Gunnar Hellstrom's face when Rollin comes into the study is so awesome! 'Nuf Said.

Also, during the first season, I always loved the way Cinnamon would role her eyes after the bad guy walked away from her.
