R.I.P Van Williams
(February 27, 1934 – November 28, 2016)
Williams was best known for his television role as Britt Reid/the ''Green Hornet'' and his earlier leading role as Kenny Madison in the television detective series ''Bourbon Street Beat'' (1959) and its sequel, ''Surfside 6'' (1960).
IMDB just caught up with this sad information. Mr. Williams even had a credit on Mission: Impossible from 1972. Must have been one of those Syndicate Years episodes.
I first remember seeing him in a TV comedy series with Walter Brennan in the mid-1960's, then he popped up in The Green Hornet in 1966. My older sister had a major crush on him during those years.
Rest In Peace Mr. Williams.
I really loved Van Williams in The Green Hornet when I was a lot younger. Then, back in the mid-eighties, a Sheriff's Deputy I was dating was able to get me Mr. Williams autograph (Mr. Williams was a reserve Deputy Sheriff at the Malibu Station). My condolences to his family.
