So we went from 1897 to 1796 to 1969 all in a matter of a few episodes?

What happened to all of the plots in 1969 before Barnabas went to 1897....Chris as a werewolf, Ghost Quentin, everyone moving to the old house...

And the 1897 stories....did Charity remain Pansy forever? What became of Quentin's children? What became of Judith, Quentin, etc?

It's as if they just dropped every story with no resolution in favor of the leviathan storyline? What a tremendous mistake!

From what I understand the 1897 story brought all time high ratings only to leave audiences with leviathan hell? Bleck!

Yes, Dan Curtis and the DS writers just seemed to rush out of 1897. Heck, we never found out what happened to the wonderfully crafty Magda's Racosi. Did Magda's stay on at the Old House or did she leave to reunite with her gypsy family and friends, perhaps in Boston or Montreal?

Did the usually tight-fisted Judith Collins-Trask reward Magda's for helping her in her plan to get rid of Judith's "beloved" husband, the Rev. Gregory Trask? Did Edward ever re-marry and did he get over the loss of Lady Kitty Hampshire (who, literally, disappeared into another century with Barnabas)?

And, whatever happened to Tim Shaw? Did Tim remain in Collinsport or did he leave town to try and find Amanda Harris?

After nearly nine months of the 1897 storyline, Dan Curtis and the DS writers really should have given the loyal DS fans a much better ending (with final explanations) to this longest Dark Shadows time period.

Yes, poor Magda Racosi & Co got dropped abruptly in 1897. We have to assume the whole gang is carrying on...with Magda still changing colors frequently and spitting on the floor whenever she wants.

Magda's spirit responded to Madam Findlay pretty quick, indicating she must've died in the area. All of those people couldn't have lived long lives. Liz didn't seem to know any of them personally and she was born not too long afterwards.

I wanna see Magda's spirit spit on the floor, Fletcher! LOL! It's a pity she didn't pop up and haunt the Collinses in 1969 thru 1971. I would have loved to see her in 1970 PT giving Hoffman the Maid the evil eye as her adversary. Magda spitting at Hoffman the Maid? Too funny!

She should've appeared when Quentin was released in the West Wing,
Just for a spit session.

And shouldn't Josette's ghost appeared at the Old House to try and protect Rachel when Angelique threw her into Barnabas' coffin?

Regarding Josette's underused ghost, she was often never around when they actually needed her. Darn!

Apparently Josette didn't appear until Vicky's arrival, although Liz mentioned a relative was saved by a possible ghost while out on the water (but Josette didn't seem to stray from the Old House, so who knows who the ghost was).

Yes, I remember that. I remember Josette in location footage at the Old House shortly after Victoria's arrival. It was like a big teaser. Her story didn't really pick up until Barnabas appeared. I do also remember Liz mentioning a relative being saved by a possible ghost on the water, too.

David claimed to have seen Josette regularly, but she wasn't mentioned until about fifty episodes in.
Vicky seemed to arrive practically the next day after Roger and David moved in (David seemed to have spent his whole life in Augusta). So it must've been after Vicky arrived when David first saw the ghost.

As I remember, there was an episode where Vickey was in danger, someone's prisoner I think, and Josette's ghost ordered David to help her.

I like to think that Judith paid Tim for his help in dispatching "dear Gregory," and then he went to New York where he married and started a family. And that groovy, hippie astrologer/psychic Sebastian Shaw is his descendant. I don't think Amanda was all that important to him.
