Has anyone heard anything about The War Lord being re-released in any dvd/blueray format soon? Unopened copies of the 2000 Widescreen DVD release are virtually unavailable at $80 to $500 dollars per. I know that it historically has had a small but devoted following but a wider audience is certainly available now. Does anyone know what the rights holding studio might be thinking?
shareI have no idea whether the studio plans to do a re-release of this on DVD or not, but Amazon.com has a DVD from Brazil that has optional Portuguese subtitles (the dialog and everything else are original). I've yet to buy it, but the reviews of the DVD's quality on Amazon are positive.

Blu-Ray would be wonderful. I just checked and it's still not on the list for upcoming issue. It's available in UK DVD if you have a region-free player. I bought one last year for some European DVDs which will likely never be released here.
Edit: It's not as bad as all that. Amazon.com has used DVDs for $20-$30. I've purchased used DVDs in the past and they've all been playable and fine.
Mine arrived and it's perfectly fine. It includes the content leaflet.
