There seemed to be more than an undercurrent of camp in his memorable performance.

Could be. It's a shame no one survives to tell us about the direction in this film now.

Life at court may have made him pretentious, but he certainly held his own in the battle against the Frisians.

I know it's the contemporary fashion to try to channel gay into everything, but there seems little justification regarding Draco - great character name choice, by the way.
