Village of the Giants is showing on Turner Classic Movies tonight 9:30 PM EDT, even though it's not showing as a current listing on the main IMDB movie page (unlinked in the TV schedule).

shareI had watched "Psycho Beach Party" (a sendup of movies of this era) earlier in the day, and thought that Tisha Sterling looks remarkably like Amy Adams' character. I'd forgotten some of the good music in this movie. Liked Freddy Cannon's "Little Bitty Corrine."

great fun; great period music; not to be taken seriously at all; and i also find it pretty interesting that it was made by the same man responsible for "food of the gods" and "empire of the ants" (later).
seeing this made up for my missing "attack of the 50-foot woman" on t.c.m. earlier the same night :-)
also, as is mentioned elsewhere on this message board, the bikini girls in this movie are some of the "swinginest 60's chicks" you're ever gonna see. quite an enjoyable 'blast from the past', which - for optimum effect - should probably be seen while wasted (l.o.l.)
