It's a shame that the movie just didn't revolve aroud the Joy Harmon character; she is very hot! That would be a good way to spend 90 minutes! The scene where she is reading the magazine on the bed is the best!

Yeah, no kidding. I saw this movie (Village of the Giants) when I was younger and wasn't really paying attention to girls. But, I just saw "Cool Hand Luke" and had to find out who she was.

She was "discovered" by Groucho Marx on his TV show "You bet your life"- buy the DVD set best of You bet your life and you will see a very foxy young Joy Harmon- Groucho was smitten with her-she appeared on several episodes.

Yeah Joy Harmon had a great body but i prefered Tisha Sterling as Jean. She had a nice body too could shake that ass but most of all was cute. Joy had that baked looked you get when you're out in the sun to long. She just wasn't as cute and by the time she was 32 probably looked about 45.

I met Joy Harmon at the Rose Bowl swap meet in 1987. She had her two kids with her and still looked good, although she did look her age as most blonds don't age too well. But she still had her figure and was sweet as can be. Tisha Sterling did have a beautiful face. She also had a very sexy voice. Toni Basil I've known for 20 years and for 64 looks incredible. She still dances every day and just takes really good care of herself and it shows. She looks a full 20 years younger and is funny as hell. Great personality. I'd love to see Tisha now.

I concur. Joy Harmon looked absolutely delectable as Merrie; the scene with a normal sized guy hanging on for dear life to her huge breasts as she dances up a storm was totally sidesplitting!

The weird thing about that scene is that the magazine is proportionally too big compared to a 30-foot giant. Had it been the correct size (about one-fifth or one-sixth as big), it would have fit comfrtably in the palm of her hand and she would've had to squint and hold it close to her face in order to read it.

But yes, Joy Harmon makes a gorgeous giant.

In this movie?? No, she wasn't. In some scenes she looked liked Carmella Soprano. In others she looked like that wacko Long Island Medium. That crispy look did nothing for her, she looked haggard in close-up. If you watch her interview on the new MSTK set, she now looks like Tan Mom. She seems very sweet and intelligent though.

I just watched the MSTK version and almost spit out my drink when they said she looks like leather and smells like Marlboro's!!

She did look great in Cool Hand Luke.

The other three "giant" girls were HOT!!

Tisha looked VERY pretty.

Joy Harmon was great in this movie and so was Tisha Sterling and Toni Basil (the cute redhead).

Actually, it's Toni's scene in a bikini at the pool party that wins the prize in the competition of the three.
