Basically, because it much more accurately sets the tone for a (action-adventure-suspense) James Bond movie.

Also, because it had the title of the film in it, which the producers wanted included.

kiss kiss Bang bang is a terrible song. the Tom Jones one is miles better.

I thought the Tom Jones song was one of the best for a Bond movie. Plus the ending is great.

I think there's just something wrong with a dude singing a Bond song. I even think FRwL should've been a gal. I like the Thunderball song - yeah just should've been Bassey.

I think it's good to have variety. I like the Thunderball song and the From Russia With Love one, and the Live and Let Die one.

The Tom Jones song is one of the five best Bond themes. It's my personal favorite. His performance, and the way he belts out that final powerful note is fantastic.
