I've looked all over for this movie. It's not at the library so I can't rent it, and it's not in the movie rentals either...can someone tell me what it's all about?? Is it worth buying off Amazon?

Do you have the TCM channel? Turner Classic Movies? "The Sandpiper" is going to be on July 27th. I've heard mixed reviews about it, but I love all Burton-Taylor movies.

If you like Shakespeare, you'll like "Taming of the Shrew". Liz is HILARIOUS in that movie. Really fiesty. And Richard, well, he takes no crap from her. Try renting it from your library. That's how I've seen alot of her movies. From the library or TCM. Some of Burton-Taylor movies, or just Taylor movies have never been released, so you can't buy them.

Yep!! I ended up going to HMV and buying it!! I love "The Sandpiper", although I can't say I'm too crazy about "The Comedians", everything else in the box set, I'm lovin!

shareI thought this film was very good, lots of fun to watch. In addition to another match of Dick and Liz, we have a very good performance by Eva Marie Saint.
I have this as part of the four disc set of Liz Taylor from TCM, including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Butterfield 8, and Father of the Bride.
OH you can find almost any movie this is called the internet.
