The shack !
Does any one know if awesome Taylor's house (described as a shack in the movie ...) in Big Sur really existed, or was it builded for the picture ?
shareAll of the interiors supposedly filmed in the shack were done in Paris. However, there is a scene where Burton and Taylor exit the shack and go down to the beach. There are also several long shots of the shack, which did indeed exist and was located about 3 miles before the famous Bixby bridge outside Big Sur.
The shack was torn down in the early 70's due to structural issues. There are now mutiple houses in that area. Hope this helps.
