How terrible to hear that Elizabeth Hartman committed suicide. I just watched A Patch of Blue again on cable the other night and thought I would look her up on imdb. What a tragedy.

You never know what pain people are in. APOB was such a touching movie and EH did such a terrific job in it. Try to rent the DVD if you can and listen to the Directors commentary...

I just saw A Patch of Blue for the first time and though it's a great movie, it depressed me. I went to look up information on Elizabeth Hartman to learn more about her, and I honestly didn't know about this beforehand..it's so sad that she had to die like that.
