Who was that little kid with the glasses and the deep voice who was commenting about a rocket or something and when asked where he got it, he said he made it?

Nope, but I looked him up. Pretty freaky that he was 25 years old at the time, and he looked like Ralphie from A Christmas Story.

He is the Academy Award winning composer who wrote the songs of "A Star Is Born" and the star of Brian DePalma's "Phantom of the Paradise".

Oddly I remember him most from a guest appearance on The Odd Couple, in fact there were 4 or 5 actors in this film who later appeared on an episode or two of the odd couple.
