Dorfmanns designs
my boyfriend has asked me if the catalogue in which Dorfmanns designs are shown was in fact a real one , and if so, would it be possible to find the models today?
Thanks

Well I've read in a 1966 review of the movie that Dorfman works for 'Schugo Hegi'. This was an actual model manufacturer at that time, maybe you could find something on e-bay.
In the novel the designer character is called Stringer, he's british and he works for a fictious called Kaycraft, which i suppose is doing a 'fulchester' on Keil Kraft which was a British model airplane company of the time.
BTW the characters name Stringer also references a component, a stringer found in models and old style full size aircraft.
