If you watch the opening credits of the 1965 version the details of the song etc are there. I just watched the film again yesterday and think that the same song was used in the recent horror film GHOST SHIP. Have'nt checked as my Ghost Ship dvd is at my sister in laws. But sure of it, and yes its a damn nice song too.

Am watching the original again on AMC TV and yes, it is the same song as in Ghost Ship. I know this reply comes a bit 'late' like about a year and a half later. But I haven't checked into this sight in a while and even then do not read all posts. Great Song/Great Flick. It woulda' been cool to have the guy's finally land at that alternate airport and go into a pub and witness Connie Francis singing the song.

The song is called Senza Fine (without end) and I found the lyrics and a link to the song itself at http://www.coldcure.com/html/senzafine.html.

It is indeed a very beautiful song.
