...'The Birdmen' about POWs in a German castle prison that plan to escape by making a glider in the attic to launch by dropping a concrete filled bathtub? I know this sounds hokey, but it is actually a true story. They had the plane built when the Americans liberated the camp and never got to try it. A few years ago the survivors of the incident and some engineer/technicians replicated the plane all the way down to using bed ticking for material to cover the body and wings, doping the fabric with ground millet mush. They flew it and it maneuvered, proving the escape from the prison was actually feasible. It was a well done made-for-TV movie. The movie is very hard to find now but is available at:
