''BUNNY'' is really BORING.....

This film really demonstrates how IMPORTANT good pacing is to film, theatre, and any form of music. EVERY SCENE in this film..(well...almost every scene) really DRAGS along at at painfully SLOW pace. The ending seems to go on forever and ever......(YAWN) A good story that was poorly directed......ho...hum.

I felt that the slow pace you speak of was intentionally utilized to further heighten the suspense of finding Bunny.

Imagine you're looking for a young girl, and you're constantly being held up. Wouldn't that boil your blood? I believe the director had this in mind.

Good suspense is slow. That's how the drama is built.
I realize that in recent years everything is pushed at a violently fast pace, whether that is appropriate or not. Real suspense builds up slowly.

I can appreciate a good slow build up in a suspense film. But this thing was just too stupidly unbelievable to take seriously.

Movies that take their time, for grownups, were more common when "Bunny Lake is Missing" was made. Now that the average length of a shot is about half a second, audiences are conditioned and can't cope with the kind of films adults used to enjoy.
