'Uncanonical' John Ashley character ; No cameo
Is there some reason that John Ashley played a one-time character in this one movie, as opposed to the "Johnny" character he played before and after? I know he and Deborah Walley were married, and they played a couple here, but is that the only reason? (I know I'm not talking about some very SERIOUS movie series, but I still wonder.) Also, is there some reason this was the only Beach Movie without a cameo at the end, or elsewhere? (I'm not counting the Buster Keaton / Earl Wilson kind, I mean the kind that's really slipped in suddenly, like Vincent Price in the first movie.)
