Radical Movies
I've always heard that The Battle of Algiers, The Battleship Potemkin, and Z were the great radical movies. Adding Tout Va Bien and 10 Days that Shook the World to the list. Does anybody else know any other radical movies?

shareFilms: The Seventh Seal, Seven Samurais, The 400 Blows, Alexander Nevsky and I am Cuba, The Harder They Come, and V for Vendetta!
Serious Anime: Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle (all come from Hayao Miyazaki one of the greatest anime writers of political symbolism in any form of animation)Akira and Gigantor (old 1960's Anime cartoon series that makes many relevent references to the War on Terror.)
All of these are radical not only in its symbolisms or politics but in the way they tell stories that move a way from the Hollywood formula of entertainment with action packed scenes or two-dimensional characters.

Here are some newer films with similar themes:
Carlos the Jackal (2010)
Mesrine (2008) (2 films)
Baader Meinhof Complex (2008)
Outside the Law (2010)
Hate to add this for it is not very good imo. Does have a similar theme, even has a justification for terrorism -
Battle Royale 2
